Seems a bit dangerous for Bumgarner to be arguing balls & strikes after his at-bat. Hope he doesn't get squeezed the rest of the game.

And of course, one of the local high schools (I assume) chose tonight to have a big fireworks show.

Congratulations! What breed did you get?
German mix. She is full grown at about 40 lbs.

Kinda bashful right now. I will start real training, I think, on Sunday. She seems have a real solid base already, so I will moreso have to learn what she already knows and work off that.

Today's games narrowed the list of teams battling for the 2nd pick to KC, Miami and the White Sox. However, much like Baltimore is on the verge of clinching the 1st pick, the Royals are practically a shoo-in for the 2nd pick. Picks 3 through 6 are still a mad scramble.

Oh, and the Giants have clinched a losing season with today's loss. Yet they are no lock for any of the top 10 picks. What a mediocre season. To get to the 7th pick, they need to lose all 8 of their remaining games and the Reds need to win all 7 of theirs. To get to the 8th pick, they need to lose 7 of their remaining 8 games and Texas wins all 9 of their remaining games. To get to the 9th pick, they need to lose 3 of their remaining 8 and the Blue Jays win all 8 (or the Blue Jays win 3 of 8 and Giants lose all 8).

1) Baltimore 44-109 - (9 games left) (1-2)
2) Kansas City 53-101 8.5 (8) (1-5)
3) Miami 60-93 16 (9) (2-8)
4) White Sox 61-92 17 (9) (2-9)
5) San Diego 62-92 17.5 (8) (3-9)
6) Detroit 62-92 17.5 (8) (3-9)
7) Cincinnati 66-89 21 (7) (3-12)
8) Texas 65-88 21 (9) (3-12)
9) Toronto 70-84 25.5 (8) (4-15)
10) Minnesota 71-82 27 (9) (7-15)
11) Mets 72-82 27.5 (8) (7-15)
12) Giants 72-82 27.5 (8) (7-15)
13) Anaheim 75-79 30.5 (8) (9-16)

Congratulations on the new canine. May you enjoy many happy years together!

Dog training classes are not really for the dogs, just saying. :D

I am well aware.

I want to figure out how to get her interested in toys. She doesn’t seem interested in toys OR treats... she does get irritated if I have a free hand that isn’t doing it’s God-given duty, though...

Our experience is that some dogs need to be comfortable with you before they are interested in toys. Hope the adjustment goes well. German Shepherds are really intelligent and loyal, and pretty territorial.

She. Has already latched onto me pretty fierce. She won’t leave my side any time I go anywhere in the house.

It will be like that for a while. Good bonding.
I am a bit worried about leaving her alone. She doesn’t seem to be destructive, but she does scratch at doors. I will be leaving her alone for a few hours tonight as a sort of test. Monday will be stressfulll for her.

Is she kennel trained? Will you leave her outside? In a room? In a garage? Our current dog was crate trained ( we got him at 8 months) so that is his safe place.

She is fully house trained, but apparently not crate trained. I have a crate for her, but she has zero interest in it. The fact she just had her surgery yesterday makes it tough to entice her since she has little/no interest in treats.
