There HAS to be a reason Brown does not play. Boch is not a spiteful guy. But damned if I know what that reason is.

Giants rally but come up short 3-2 in SD

Giants ran into one of the best pitchers going right now in MLB in Andrew Cashner who shut the Giants down but in the 9th the Giants did rally on a Hunter Pence HR and the 3 consecutive hits to close it to 3-2 but Crawford lined out to end the game with the tying run on third.

Hey they battled and showed good life in the 9th. The key thing that happened today was the comeback by the Cubs scoring 6 runs late to win a huge game over L.A. Giants still only 3 1/2 back with 8 to play and if they can carry over that 9th inning rally to Sunday and the Cubs can pull out another big win it will set up a big showdown in L.A. Monday.

Giants can only worry about winning right now and let the chips fall where they may. 8 more games 1 game at a time . I know it's a cliche but it's true. That Cubs win was huge today so it's a wash. Someone has to take the drum sticks in that lead off spot and pound the drum for the Giants with Pagan out. It's not over ...plenty of good ball left but it's time to jam.

What a disgusting weekend for the Giants. Two runs in three games? Getting swept by the Padres with a playoff berth on the line? Hitters are completely unprepared. Doesn't deserve its own GDT. Terrible weekend.
