You know, he hasn't played badly as a Giant. A little better than the season he was having with the Cubs. But I am not seeing a guy who we should resign for $20+ million a year. Just not seeing it yet. Do you think we should resign him, or wait until the season plays completely out to evaluate?
I don't know which scenario would be more funny - that you didn't see our comments about him earlier in this thread and posted this response or that you DID see those comments and decided to be cheeky.

I didn't see the earlier comments, just jumped on the 4th page of the thread when I got back from a long day of meetings.

His numbers suggest otherwise, but, to me, he's been a bit disappointing. He doesn't pass my eye test but his stats tell me I'm wrong.

It starts at post #27 (see above).

Have to say it was scary reading this thread early this morning .... not seeing any scores before reading from the opening post. Didn't look to promising early on. Little by little the tone of the thread got brighter ... still didn't get a full read on what was happening until I saw a few of MSGs later posts. Then I knew we were OK for this game.

BTW ... saw some interesting story about the Brewers and Doggies series coming up. You tend to find strange stories at 5:00 am. Anyways ... the take was simple ... the Brewers would love to knock the Doggies into the WC position. That creates the possibility of the Doggies being eliminated in one game. Most people think that the Doggies would have the strongest pitching rotation entering the playoffs. To elimate that threat early on creates a somewhat easier road for the other NL teams.
