Game Thread: 9/2 Giants @ Dodgers Finale

I tend to root for the teams that haven't won it the longest (or at all). I wouldn't mind a Cubs-Astros World Series if the Giants do get eliminated.

Assuming my rooting had any influence on actual events...

I would be wary of rooting for either the Cubs or 'stros. I don't want to let those young teams experience the proper way to win. The Giants right now have a HUGE advantage on the rest of the league with their experience with winning. Best not to share that with other potential dynasties.

I honestly wonder what should be done about Posey. He can't just lose all his power the last 2 months of every year, especially the playoffs. Do we trade Belt? Platoon Belt in LF? It's no longer something to ignore. Doesn't help that Susac has fallen back either, no longer missing his bat in the lineup.

Posey to this point has never lost his power the last 2 months. He usually gets better.

I think that it was simply a slump at the wrong time. I don't think a move has to be made for another year.

Susac has always had injury concerns, so IDK if he can be trusted to catch everyday.

I would MUCH prefer ONLY Leake to ONLY Price/Greinke/Zim/whatever. He is younger, cheaper and already in the fold.

Is Bum/Leake/Peavy/Heston/Cain a championship rotation? I lean no, but if Cain shocks the world and Heston isn't a mirage, maybe....
