Huddy pitching himself away from any sort of offer for next year. When we've needed him to step up late in the season, he just keeps melting down. Last ten games: 1-5 with a 5.27 ERA. Yuck.

So, seeing Huddy pre-ASB and post-ASB, does he get offered a contract for next year? (Assuming he doesn't just retire with his 2,000+ K's).

If he's offered a contract with the Giants, does he need more rest between starts? He seems to have hit a wall and just melted down in the last six weeks or so. Happens to everyone (except Kershaw it seems). But happening late in the season seems to stand out much more.

Or do we assume Huddy had a nice one year with the Giants, thankyouverymuch, see you later?

Dude, he is already under contract for next year.

I think he should be fine, but he needs to have a "sore elbow" about the ASB fir 2 or 3 weeks.

Hudson has a 2 year deal, he'll be back next year. Might be the 4th/5th starter however.

This is why you worry about aging pitchers, and why the brass will think very carefully about re-signing Vgoelsong, who is a FA.

Peavy IMO is a MUST sign...and we might need to sign a #3 type too.

You may need to prepare yourself for the very real possibility that he may never start another game as a Giant.
