Yes Sty I remember. He did the packers game or the pregame one.

Yep, originally a Packer PBP guy....but the league recognized talent and soon thereafter he went national. Great voice.

That's the other thing that these youngins won't get.....the great voices of the past, guys like:

Curt Gowdy
Jack Whittaker
Tom Brookshier
Linsey Nelson
Charlie Jones
Chuck Thompson
Dick Enberg
Kieth Jackson
Pat Summerall

Gotta add Frank Herzog....cause he was one of the best even though he (and Chuck Thompson) was local.

Great list! But there is no way I could leave Art Monk off that list. As much as I like Gary, he would have to go on my list. I also would have to have Taylor on there as my FS.

Good points, and I'd consider Sam Huff the original BMitch too. An additional list for ST'ers that has to include Guys like BMitch II, M. Mosley and either of Joe Don Looney, Mike Bragg or Tress Way.

These are my favorite players not the guys who I think are best. Having said that I would take Clark over Monk and Taylor never came close to Krause's stats in the same amount of time. Krause had as many interceptions in his rookie year as Taylor had in 4 years. In his 4 years in Washington Krause had 28 Ints. For his career he was 9 times All Pro. What happened to Taylor is very sad but you can only guess what he might have been given 6 or 7 more years. Maybe he is a HOFer too and maybe not.

Good choices too Sty, and so were j_y's.

There are lots of guys I didn't mention and some were better than guys I named. World Grant, Brig Owens, Jordan Reed, Trent Williams, Jim Lachey, Chris Samuels, Riggo, Ken Harvey, Wilbur Marshall, Mike Bass, Champ Bailey, Byner, Alf, Stephen Davis, Terry Allen .....

I did indeed note that you were putting together complete offensive and defensive teams, and they were great picks. Just really wanted to give the Special teams some recognition.

Like I said I did not pick the guys who I thought were best, I picked the guys that were my favorites at different positions. Little Joe was cool, Kelvin Bryant did not suck. JMO and I like Monk but I would take Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor and Gary Clark first.
