Listen and learn, young un. They are talking about some of the greatest Redskins ever. I'll tell you and few more that had heart. Pat Fisher. Chris Hamburger. Lenny Hauss (the dancing bear). Remember Diron Tablet? He vowed before a big Cowboys game to take Staubach out. Then he did it. Great times.

I go back to #3 on the roster......QB, Ralph Guglielmi (think of an armless Joe Kapp for his time) later traded to St' Louis because the team had selected the next coming, in Norm Snead. Snead's time in DC ended when he was traded to Philly for SJ....one of the all time great swindles in DC football history.

Damm Sty Ralph Guglielmi. Who !!!!! You got me on that one. Norm Snead up to now are the ones I remember.

white kids in my neighborhood used to try and walk like him after he bashed a LB . so cool

In our neighborhood all of the kids played football on the old dirt ground. One kid walked like LB after being tackle. Now since I grew up in Dallas Tx, there was only one skins fan in the neighborhood. I wonder who that kid was Lol.

Not at the time, I did however, discover these features later on. There were some great "voices" back then doing football and football features. Do you remember Ray Scott, or Saturday replays of Notre Dame football with Lindsey Nelson?

Yes Sty I remember. He did the packers game or the pregame one.

Damm Sty Ralph Guglielmi. Who !!!!! You got me on that one. Norm Snead up to now are the ones I remember.

Just the season before Snead was drafted, I remember how everyone thought that Snead was "THE" guy. He did perform better than most had before he arrived, made a couple of pro-bowls, then traded to Philly for SJ.

People here in DC literally hated that deal, because we traded a young up and coming, though wildly inconsistent 23- 24 year old for Sonny, who I believe was either 28 or 29 at the time. I could be mistaken on the timeline but I believe that this was the event after which the term "Dead" was attached to the team name.

Snead and Mitchell (the original BMich) were good....but once Jurgensen teamed up with Mitchell and Taylor the naysayers soon forgot about Snead in DC. (some still followed him in Philly though)
