Just love those helmets with the feather in the back. All the way back to 62 as far as I can remember. The yr before this we had Norman Snead. Any of you old timers remember that.

I go back to #3 on the roster......QB, Ralph Guglielmi (think of an armless Joe Kapp for his time) later traded to St' Louis because the team had selected the next coming, in Norm Snead. Snead's time in DC ended when he was traded to Philly for SJ....one of the all time great swindles in DC football history.

Loved Larry Brown and Charley Harraway his blocking back. To this day I've yet to figure out where LB put his heart when in uniform, because it was bigger than his entire body. George Allen ran the hell out of him, but even today that heart thumps out Burgundy and gold.

Not at the time, I did however, discover these features later on. There were some great "voices" back then doing football and football features. Do you remember Ray Scott, or Saturday replays of Notre Dame football with Lindsey Nelson?
