I don't know, I wanted Tanana too, but I saw a group of 4 LHP that were all pretty much the same... There is not much of a difference between Kaat and Tanana, in fact I would argue Tanana is the weakest of the 4 in the group( there are 2 left but don't want to name drop because Nos might kill me- and in the last couple of posts we mentioned lists and Nazis)
For entire career, Tanana isn't better than some of the other options. But this is prime/peak. And Frank was dominant in his early twenties.

Name dropping doesn't bother me anymore. We know all the names lol

I agree with UK... So you might as well say them... I mean I don't need any of them, just curious... So you can say them if you want... I mean we all know the other 2 guys you are talking about... In fact go ahead and post the better one of the 2 for me when it's my pick... You know which one I'm talking about... :eyebrows:

eh... He only had 3 seasons of a WHIP under 1.2 in his whole career... and only 3 seasons of under 3 ERA... wouldn't call that dominant at all... I will give you that his BEST season was the best in the 4 lefty grouping... But that is all... Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing the pick at all... Just saying that there were 4 pretty much identical picks...

I think that would be a fun draft that would get some new players picked.....a "two years career" draft. Each player is graded on his two best seasons only. Denny McClain might be a 1st rounder(I know I namedropped, but has he ever been picked?)

Those numbers were all in a run.

His 80's Tigers days aren't part of this Mock, as far as I'm concerned.

I actually got one of the 4? I was just searching for a second left hander to put in my rotation, and Vida atleast had a short stretch that was dominant. Most I looked at had a longer stretch of good, but lower peaks. I was not sure what would be more valued.

I have Kaat below two other lefties.

That id rather not name drop.

Really?? Personally I have Tanana as the 4th in that grouping... But they are so close that it doesn't matter...

edit: damn there was one I missed... And I like him the best of them too..

Maybe he's not. Idk.

Thought he was. Didn't even look at him this go round because of that assumption.

He's not... That was my next pick, then ,Tanana, then Kaat, now... :hope:

I don't mind name dropping of the big names that we all know are gonna get picked early, its when we get into later rounds that i'd rather we didn't. Believe it or not somebody might be like hey yeah I forgot about him and draft him.
