For entire career, Tanana isn't better than some of the other options. But this is prime/peak. And Frank was dominant in his early twenties.I don't know, I wanted Tanana too, but I saw a group of 4 LHP that were all pretty much the same... There is not much of a difference between Kaat and Tanana, in fact I would argue Tanana is the weakest of the 4 in the group( there are 2 left but don't want to name drop because Nos might kill me- and in the last couple of posts we mentioned lists and Nazis)

Name dropping doesn't bother me anymore. We know all the names lol
I will be Honest, I have no idea who Vida Blue is, but his number look solid

I think that would be a fun draft that would get some new players picked.....a "two years career" draft. Each player is graded on his two best seasons only. Denny McClain might be a 1st rounder(I know I namedropped, but has he ever been picked?)For entire career, Tanana isn't better than some of the other options. But this is prime/peak. He's damn good. Only Canook HOFer, I believe.I will be Honest, I have no idea who Vida Blue is, but his number look solid
Very poor man's Nolan Ryaneh... He only had 3 seasons of a WHIP under 1.2 in his whole career... and only 3 seasons of under 3 ERA... wouldn't call that dominant at all... I will give you that his BEST season was the best in the 4 lefty grouping... But that is all... Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing the pick at all... Just saying that there were 4 pretty much identical picks...
I agree with UK... So you might as well say them... I mean I don't need any of them, just curious... So you can say them if you want... I mean we all know the other 2 guys you are talking about... In fact go ahead and post the better one of the 2 for me when it's my pick... You know which one I'm talking about...
Those numbers were all in a run.eh... He only had 3 seasons of a WHIP under 1.2 in his whole career... and only 3 seasons of under 3 ERA... wouldn't call that dominant at all... The 4 I was talking about were Vida Blue, Jim Kaat, Tommy John and Frank Tanana

Thought he was. Didn't even look at him this go round because of that assumption.
