If we take out the young guns I won't be able field a team...

But I get what Milk is saying, the first like 4 picks get an extra HOFer... I don't know maybe the retired guys like Bonds, Clemons and whoever you guys add to the list as retired but will be a first ballot should count as HOF, you'd have to be clear on the list though... Maybe the top 5 players only which makes it a fair draw for every pick...

Yeah this is what I'm saying too. Make the clear cut retired players counts as hall of famers. McGwire, palmero and all those guys.

Only because those first couple picks give such a huge advantage. Getting Bonds or Clemens and not using one of your 6 HOF picks is unfair IMO...

how about we keep the 6 HOF, but if any non HOF has a WAR over 90, then they are part of the HOFers... Current players are allowed...

I'd like to not count nonHOFers as HOFers. Otherwise Rose and Shoeless Joe should be in that group. And Kershaw, Trout, Rivera, pudge, Ichiro, King Felix, Don Kelly and other current greats should be too.

One of these guys is not like the others....

Seriously why is Kershaw a full time NL player mentioned with all these AL guys who made a name for themselves in DH baseball?

(If those aren't the 4 top game changing non-HOF guys change them)

If you use your #1-4 pick to grab a non-HOF it won't be a "top 4" guy... Gives everybody a shot at the best of the best or let's you strategize

The first line is why I suggested it be an open. I have a suggestion....We make it 6 HOF and OPEN, but ANY player you take that played in the 2000's counts as one of your HOFers.

Or...we could make it 8 HOF players and any 2000 player selected counts as an HOF. Considering we've done wide open HOF drafts, the teams wouldn't be as loaded as that, and without team or year restrictions, it will be easier for everyone IMO

I do think it would be fun to be able to add a player or two from any team that you defeat. We've never done that
