Seriously though...Belt crushes that, the crowd gets excited, Kuiper gets excited...warning track fly out.

He's in the wrong park. Gotta trade that dude to a park that favors lefty power.

Nats have three walks, showing plate discipline, and Scrabble at 82 pitches

Giants with no walks, showing no plate discipline, and Fedde at 38 pitches

Same old story.

:L
Looks like he’ll get a cg. Dam.

A guy scores from 1st on a single. Walks. Walks. More Walks. Balk. Shallow fly that was "lost" in the lights. A steal of home.

Meanwhile, the "small" strikezone that allowed the Nats 8 walks has yielded all of, well, let's see, counting...... NO WALKS for the hacktastic Giants.

Pathetic excuse for a major league team tonight. The hot streak was nice while it lasted. The Giants have reverted to 100-loss style of play. Ugh.

So the team gets together and plays like gang busters for 3 weeks leading up to the deadline, showing the FO that there is a chance.

Once the players get what they want (minimal sell off), they recline their chairs and put their feet on the desk.

Goal: Achieved

They don’t have to move. Their kids can stay in school.

I understand these are people and they have lives and families. But have some professional pride.

To be fair, some guys (Sandoval, most of the bullpen) were playing well all year. Many of the others were guys who got a shot in the ever rotating outfield who took full advantage of it. Unfortunately, they may have been playing well over their heads. Longoria has been injured, so his hot bat disappeared not due to lack of performance but lack of playing time. Pillar looks to be a notoriously streaky hitter. But I guess that guys like Samardzija, Bumgarner, Posey, Belt and Crawford can catch heat for being mediocre to awful for two months, play well for a wee bit and then, as you say, recline in their chairs with the security of another season complete. But really only Bumgarner, and maybe Samardzija would have been likely to have gotten traded. Belt and Crawford would have stayed regardless.
