yes, please
short season, go with the hot hands
Hmmm - don't underestimate the value of Crawford's glove. And he has stepped it up with the bat as well.
If Arias can play LF, I'd rather sit Blanco than Crawford.

Doesn't really work, but it's damn cool.
Game is over; on to Chicago.
In 10 days: from 1/2 game behind to 4 1/2 ahead.
At the very least he's got to start somewhere against lefties: .333/.364/.467/.831, in 130 PA.

Just love his little fist pump at the end, like that was what he meant to do. Priceless. Repped if I can.
I thought he was kind of making fun of himself for getting "snubbed," but yes, that is a fantastic gif.
I think he's already been designated starting SS vs lefties automatically. But how to get him in the lineup more in general? LF works for me for part of certain games in certain parks. I trust Noggin to figure it out, even though he's having his worst year as a manager.

Yeah that occurred to me too, Showalter is no dummy, so he tried to 'save' it knowing he just got punked. Just a classic.
This natural pessimist is starting to believe again. Which historically isn't good for Giants fans. But 5 games is a fair amount with all the injuries LA is starting to deal with, and their schedule.

According to mlbtraderumors.com, we're only one day away from the arrival of Xavier Nady. Good career numbers against lefties. .284/.350/.440
That acquisition would be better than nothing. Not much better, but better.

His split against lefties since 2010:
2010 .242/.290/.359/.649
2011 .248/.292/.410/.702
2012 .176/.222/.353/.575
Nady hasn't been a ML player since 2008.
What would you say the chances are that Nady becomes a productive player in LF the rest of the way? About the odds of catching lightning in a bottle?
