may well have been. Point is it was during some even year bullshit. 2012 makes it even BETTER as we had just won our first one. Extra dim.

Very satisfying win, very satisfying series. Bats woke up, Ray looked good, Fitz doing Fitz things, Forto and Wade waking up. Only negative that I can see is Bailey -- he's in a scuffle and the DH didn't seem to help him.

Yeah he's slumping but I think he's had enough track record to expect him to improve. As a plus defensive catcher even a .750 OPS is plenty (I know he's below that now but I think that can be his expected level)

Best of the bunch is probably Irvin, but he draws Snelkzilla. Corbin is awful, Gore is meh, Herz is a question mark. You would think the series sets up well for us, but then again our bats....unserious.

Saturday: Birdsong
Sunday: Webb
No pitchers announced for the Tiggers yet. Interesting that they are going to celebrate the 2014 team on Saturday vs. Detroit...too bad the Royals are a road series this year. Also, the odds of me being awake in Scotland for the Friday game are about zero (315am start there), might wake up to see Doval. Same with the first three Brave games the following week.
