Royals pick up Cahill and Cabrera and they are criticized for not doing enough? Cahill was a better acquisition than Sonny Gray. Sonny Gray has the sexier resume but Cahill has been the better pitcher this year. Melky allows them to put Alex Gordon's lame ass .550 OPS back on the bench where it belongs. And who is to say that Cozart was even available? Besides, the guy is 32 years old. That is not the age you want your shortstop to be if you are going to be rebuilding in 2018.

of course this will all change by the middle of season when some teams become good and others turn to crap

The AFC West has it tough this year because they all get the Pats (Chargers and Chiefs in the rotation to play at Foxboro), and the NFC East. And unfortunately for the Chargers and Chiefs, they are in rotation to play on the road against the two toughest teams (Cowboys/Giants). KC has it worse though because they won the division and have to play @Houston and Pittsburgh. Which is a lot easier than playing @Jacksonville and home against the Browns.

I'm psyched. Salah looks like a great addition for the Reds. And they start with a 7:30 AM game which is perfect for a Saturday morning. Eggs, coffee, and Liverpool.
