We're up 6-0 early with our second best pitcher going. He leaves with a 6-2 lead. No sweat, right?

Then the bully melts down.

And the hitter crawl back into the safe spaces and stop hitting.

2018 has been a wonderful year so far!
But at least we will be picking in the low teens in the draft. That is good for attendance.

Leclerc is nasty. Locked him up in all my fantasy leagues (particularly dynasty leagues)

So that game was what experts call a shitty mess.

There is some room to improve the draft pick status. They have a good shot to get in the top 10 if they continue to play at the quality they've shown recently.

Bullpen meltdown or not, nice to see D Rod continue to show us something. And since this year is over the blown save is meaningless. D Rod matters, for next year.

I don't pay any attention to the draft but isn't baseball the most crap-shootiest of the sports? Like there's almost no correlation between getting drafted early and ML success? Like, in basketball it's very rare to see a 2nd round guy be something. Football, the later rounds are all meh. But in baseball half the league is people drafted well past the first round, right?

Adding insult to injury, Former Giant Gearrin got the win. Of course he did! And former Ranger Dyson took the loss. Of course he did!

But hey! Let's keep the team together. Let's keep Posey from his surgery until the last minute, so he won't miss (much) of Spring Training. And let's keep playing the way we've been playing. Completely inspiring baseball, and instructional to all the young players watching.

I have this vague memory of someone on this board mentioning (I think it was last year) that the Giants have a good history of success when drafting within the top 10 or 15 picks but not doing so well lower. I could be wrong, and I haven't looked up the data to see if that is true, but it could be possible that where this team picks is important.

They did their best to give that game away and came through. At least that disgusting abortion of a loss doesn't affect the standings with them already being out of the race.

Need a change in the stale front office.

The AB's in both of the 1-out bases loaded situations were bad enough, but they actually managed to have worse AB's than those after Texas tied the game.
