Giants win 5-3 and blow out of the Windy city with series

Bumgarner was on as he pitched 7 strong innings giving up 3 ER and striking out a hearty 12 batters. The Giants fought back down 3-1 and win this one 5-3 in Chicago. Bullpen solid again going two shutout innings with Casilla getting the save.

After losing the Tarp protest game earlier in the day 2-1 Posey,Panda, and the boys turned it up a notch and put 5 runs on the board. Posey was dialed in going 4-4 with 2 doubles and a HR. Sandoval was 3-4 . Pagan had 2 hits and Bum drove in a key run with a single.

Too bad the Giants could not win that Tarp game but they showed a lot of determination in this series and won it. Giants now head to Washington 3 1/2 back in the West and Washington is playing good ball. Going to be a big series that could have a playoff flavor. It will be important for the Giants to get early leads and hopefully the weather will not be scorching like last year.

Bum with his 14th win with Posey and Panda's bats the story in this one. A late but happy flight to D.C,. tonight.
