Cool article in The Athletic today showing that Cobb is the unluckiest pitcher in the game. More than a run difference between his ERA and his FIP. He'd be sub 3 with decent defense. Even if Rodon walks, Webb/Cobb/Wood/Disco/Harry/Junis/Jelly has them set up for success moving forward.

Need a real bullpen of course.

I wouldn’t be opposed to resigning him, but I think his skillset is replaceable. He has a good (not great) bat, but his defense is below average everywhere he plays.

It's a combination of things. Some good defenders hurt a lot (Belt, Crawford), a great one retired (Posey), Pederson being a shitty fielder, etc. Just one of those years.
