Neither Mays nor tz said the G's would sign him. tz said "a club" would sign him; Mays said no one would; I said he wouldn't even pursue a contract.

Mmmm ... I didn't get the impression that TZ was talking about the Giants resigning him. I was under the impression that we pay him the 7M to disappear from our roster and let him go wherever he can find a job.
After this year it will be interesting to see if he even considers playing in 2014. If anything drives him in that direction it will be ego. He'd probably like to prove that these past few years have been a horrid abhoration. The problem that he faces though ... maybe they weren't. With a one time chance to redeem himself .... it's a very high gamble in terms of his ego. Sort of like ... let it just fade out and hope that people forget .... or risk ending it in one year of complete flames .... I think that if a contender throws a one year deal to the table .... he won't be able to resist the opportunity ... not sure he'd take the same chance with an offer from .... let's say ... the Astros ....
Yep, I totally misread that. Oops.
moxie may be right, his heart maybe isn't in it. Or perhaps it is but the talent is just all gone.
"I agree with Mays"
"Moxie has it right"
Sheesh, msg, what do I need to do to get any love around here? The whole thing about BZ looking like shyte was started by me, yet you agree with everyone else who happens to essentially parrot my take.
No respect, I tell ya...
1) I hope that they catch the moron who did that
2) Jones show the same amount of class with that twitter ("slapdick" and "jackass"). So many classier ways to say the same thing.
Wow - seems the fan has some class after all :

Alexander Poulides flipped on the news Monday afternoon and saw a story about the outcry surrounding the Giants fan who threw an object at Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones.
His heart sank.
"Oh, my god,'' Poulides said. "I threw a banana on my way out."
Poulides, 42, said he grabbed a banana off a catering cart and hurled it toward the field in disgust at the Giants near the end of a 10-2 loss at AT&T Park on Sunday. The banana apparently sailed toward Jones, who tweeted about the incident after the game.
As the Giants launched an investigation, Poulides reached The Mercury News via e-mail and subsequent phone call to claim credit for what he called "an indiscretion."
Above all, Poulides stressed repeatedly that the incident was not a racially motivated, as some had speculated. He was upset at the Giants, not Jones.
"I'm embarrassed and shocked by the outcome,'' the Northern California resident said. "In hindsight, I wish I didn't do it and I apologize. I'm very sorry."

I see one of two things happening with this ordeal today...
1) Poulides actually woke up this morning to the national story and was freaked out that his disgust at the team was misunderstood, so he stepped forward. (as the report says)
2) The Giants were able to track him down and informed him as to what happened, and what he was actually intending with the banana. (They gave him an offer he couldn't resist)
I choose to believe story 1, but acknowledge that story 2 is a distinct possibility as well.
