Elway said on Denver Sports 760 that Lynch may just prove himself ready to be an NFL starter this year.

“Is that going to happen tomorrow? Probably not, but you never know when it can happen,” Elway said. “We think he’s going to be ready quicker than a lot of people think.”

If I had twins right now I would name them Peyton and Paxton.

Paxton Lynch is a big kid. We all knew he was tall but the sports talk radio jocks in Denver are ranting about how really big this guy is. Huge hands, huge arm and saying all the right things. It's day one but a good first impression. Can't wait to see him slinging the rock down the field and plowing through defenders when needed. The more I learn about and see Paxton, the more I'm convinced he could very well be the Broncos future. Brock who?

I loved watching the quick videos of practice today. I thought his footwork from under Center looked much more polished than I thought it would at this time. His throws looked pretty good too considering he has 0 timing with these guys. And he seems very confident which is a great quality in a QB.

Get to see Booker tomorrow when he gets back from graduation. Probably won't see much since he's still not 100% coming off the injury.

Is it just me or does McGovern look like the reincarnation of Evan Mathis? Simmons seems to be a cool customer as well.

It's just always great to see our rooks in Broncos gear for the first time! Hope springs eternal....

That it does. Just seems like the more I read on Paxton and watch of him and how he carries himself the more I am very hopeful for our future. I also do think Elway and company will do the best of any of the 1st round QB's of surrounding their guy with talent to succeed.

Thanks for the link, Chris - a good listen.

I do think there is an interesting take on the punting competition. WE do have on the Special Teams staff a guy that was working for Syracuse and worked with Dixon on a regular basis. So maybe that is why we picked him over some of the other punters with maybe some better stats.
Denver coaches did say they wanted this guy and did not want to chance CFAs later on so they did have a something .

57 is Kyle Kragen.

He is in camp as an unsigned rookie trying out.

That's the son of former Bronco DT Greg Kragen.
These guys scare me because they have nothing to lose and want to catch the coaches eye so they may go full out even though the coaches say not too.

He should have a good opportunity here at least if he does well.

I like Raymond getting a shot too. I know his trainer and agent really well. When they hit me up about him I honestly figured he had no shot to get into a camp with his size and lack of WR numbers. Was a nice surprise to see him get a shot here.
