Not my fault you have bad taste in dominant left handed pitchers. I wouldn't take him over Mantle, but I don't think it was a reach, by any means.

I've always found Koufax to be over rated even if he did help old ladies across the street on his way to Dodger stadium.

He led the league in ERA for 5 straight years and WHIP for 4. The only knock on Koufax that I will buy is that his career was pretty short. His peak was as good as it gets, though.

Not that ERA is that valuable of a stat.

It's 1/3 of the "Triple Crown" in pitching... which Koufax won 3 times, by the way...

Yea poor Lefty only has two triple crowns.

ERA is influenced by defense and parks and era.

It has its uses but thetr are other ways too.
