I guess we brought Slater up to watch? Watch the team not hit.
He has to learn that somewhere. Definitely wasn't learning it at AAA. He should be lucky to learn from the best of the best and not a bunch of AA scrubs.

In 2011?!? He was a 39 year old catcher in the last year of his career. He slashed .218/.281/.323 that year. For comparison, Chris Stewart slashed .204/.283/.309 but none of it was his fault.

When Buster went down with the injury the Nats were listening to offers for Pudge. It was probably more rumor than anything, but it was out there.
