Meh. Had to paint my front fence all day Friday. Got sunburnt and tweaked muscles I hadn't used in decades. Saturday was cool, though; went to a friends' BBQ and didn't have to do any work.

Now that I'm svelte again, it takes way less booze to get me there.

Walked into the local bar last night and paramedics were everywhere. One of the local favorites had taken a nasty spill off a barstool and bounced his head off the concrete floor and was out cold for 15 minutes. That sorta killed the mood.

Actually, I'm drinking waaaay less these days; pretty much only when bored (as I was last night).

This bar I go to is fabulous. A Cheers feel. Cheap, cold beer, excellent food, great staff, everything you want in a local bar except good-looking women. I can count on one hand the time I've seen gorgeous women in there because almost everyone is smoking. I have to take a shower when I get home to get the nicotine out of my hair.
