True. Hitting is concerning and Sammy is far from the only problem. Just in a vacuum, the guy just had a statistically horrid year.....even if it was tipping pitches and a below average defense behind him, it screamed a one year prove it contract or something of that ilk.

You are right though, at this time, my post is pretty reactionary. I just had this same reaction when the ink dried as well.

Giants have gone from .272 at the end of June to less than .250 now with RISP. That's really some prime suckitude.
