Following the game on GameDay ... have to say ... many of the pitches from Adon (Nats pitcher) were catching the plate. Many off them. Some were a little more than .. just corners too. Sure hope the ump doesn't start to squeeze Webb the same way.

Well, that was a disappointing bottom of the first from our ace....

Webb is in a minor funk right now. He seems to have righted himself for this outing, but he is not the crisp beast he has been over the last half season or so.

Not worried about him, though. He just has some hitch in his mechanics. He will figure it out.

It was Fox. Cameras didn’t pick him up until he was standing next to the mound. I don’t think they came out and did any clean up even though Estes and Miller kept saying they would/should.

It was rather strong projectile. Though it did look rather “liquid”.

I reserve the right to change my mind if the game goes awry, but Estes has become a very good color dude.

He isn’t as good as the other 4 yet, but I been noticing that he is quite good for a while now. With both K&K getting up there in age and cutting back on their games, we will need 2 new reg guys in the next few years. Looks like Estes has locked up one of those spots. I am not sure Lopez or Winn are still in the running, and I am pretty certain that Affeldt has moved on from that dream as well. So I think that leaves us without a prospect atm. Maybe bring Frandsen back when the need arises? He is currently in the Nats booth, but spent the last few years with Philly.

Hallion (todays HP ump) has been horrible. Clear strikes called balls and clear balls called strikes.

He has been screwing over both teams, so there is that…

What ever happened to Melvin Adon?

He was a high prospect for us, but hasn’t appeared in affiliated ball since ‘19.

I guess he retired?

I was against his signing, and stand behind that opinion for what it was at the time.
