Why do you think they never pitch in the same game?

You know, for all the flak that we give Gorkys, it should be pointed out that he's slashing .333/.402/.410 from June 8th forward. At least he's producing with the bat now. Maybe he should be the number 2 hitter.

Gorkys has been playing great.

How frustrating is that?

Blach with a great game today. He allowed 5 base runners in the first 2 innings and settled down to allow just 5 more the last 5 innings (and 3 in the last 4 innings).

I was curious how many players the Giants have on the active roster were 25 and younger and they have . . two (Crick and Gomez, both 24). Expand the age limit for youngsters to 28 and there are 9 (Blach, Bumgarner, Moore, Osich, Strickland, Suarez, Panik, Tomlinson and Moncrief) more. Most of those 9 (7 of them, to be exact) are 27 or 28 years old.

Gearrin with the leadoff walk. Great. Having a guy on base with Bellinger due up.

:lm:

How about a clean inning from a reliever for a change?
I think those days are long gone.

edit: and buster ain't havin' it.

Gearrin is working through the inherited runners scenario to see if he can keep them from scoring.
