Vander Tuig pitched today in SJ.
Nice. Not a good game, but nice to see him on the bump. I thought the G's would shut him down this year. UCLA apparently pushed him hard (as well as winning the WS).
Vander Tuig pitched today in SJ.
Btw...
I think I am done talking about the big club for a while. They don't deserve attention.
Freaking Reds' pitchers are better hitters than the whole Giants' pathetic lineup. Leake now 2-3 with a double and raises his average to .159. How can Pablo go 0-3 and Leake go 2-3?
Welcome to what remains of the Giants' miserable 2013 season. I don't know what the antonym for "superlative" is, but there are not words bad enough to describe this season.
But the hardware is ours to keep.
BTW, I hate playing the Reds as much as I hated playing the Cards back in the 1980's. Though I suspect after their el foldo last NLCS, that the Reds were HIGHLY motivated to kick our asses. That they have done. I wish they hadn't kicked our asses all the way to Santa Rosa.
Yea, the Reds certainly had the incentive to curb-stomp us this year.
That's OK. I will take a 1-9 season series in exchange for the sweet taste of champagne.
I replied to the post in the prospect thread, but after I did, this thought occurred to me as well. I would be SHOCKED if any true prospects get traded this year. But maybe this is more so for next year (just to get him on the radar of the "experts").
Maybe they just really like him and want to see if he is ready to fight for a job...
Los Angeles won its 10th straight road game, the franchise's longest streak since the Brooklyn Dodgers won their first 11 away from home in 1955.
Man, Choo is the real deal. His salary this year is $7.5 million, and the Indians are paying $3.5 million of that. What a steal for the Reds.
He is a FA after this season. Wonder how he'd do in the French Vanilla. His OBP is insane, .425. But his lifetime OBP is .387, that's pretty good.
And there are probably more Koreans in the Bay Area than in the Queen City.
I'm thinking "Oh the humanity" would have fit nicely in there.Reds with 5 XBH, Giants with zero. And the beat down goes on.
I had hoped for winning 3, and would have settled for winning two. Looks like we will win one of these only. While the Dogs seem about to lap us. Oh, the horror!
I can't wait for the wheels on the Big Blue Bus to start falling off. But at this point, they have not slowed down at all. They are like 24-5 in their last 29 games. That's an insane pace!
