Going to the game tonight, first one in a while. I hope the selling off that's begun will demoralize those green and gold sad sacks. Peavy time!

Shitty Mets laying down for the Dogs. Helps us with the wild card I guess.

Cubs losing helps too!

Niese shat the mound at Citibank. Effing loser, and with that hapless "offense" the mutts have....we gotta beat the Ass to stay 2 out.

Just a rivalry, GPC. And the A'ssss have owned us for a few years, which makes it harder. And they want to encroach on the San Jose market. And they have this movie. And they snookered us into taking Zeets for $126 million.

I was surprised how many A's fans (on Twitter) so desperately wanted the Giants to lose. I've always found it an odd rivalry, two teams in different leagues.

The A's own age on us has most certainly been bothersome, that is for sure.

They are a small but vociferous group. And they're abused by their ownership and bitter.

And they're irrelevant.

I grew up in MN, and followed the Twinkies. The A'sss were the hated rivals, and were winning everything in the early 1970's. So when I moved to the Bay Area in 1971, the choice was between the Giants and the A's. Not a hard one to make. Though some of the games at the Stick with 600 people attending were pretty brutal!

Stokes, did we discuss this already? I'm a native San Franciscan, but my dad is from Winona, and I went to LS at "the U." Where in Minnesnowta did you grow up?

Mutts lost 7-2. I was really hoping for them to win 3 of 4...now it feels like just avoiding a sweep would be as much as they can do.

I don't recall you mentioning that. I grew up in St. Anthony in NE Minneapolis. My dad taught in the Math/Education department at the UofM. Spent lots of time at Williams Arena for hockey and hoops, and eating in Dinkytown. Vescio's was our go-to place.

I believe my dad's office was in Northrup Hall. He also taught at University High School early in his career.

Base hit by Buster would give us the lead. A Double might score two.

Chavez on pace to go about 4 IP.

Even if the Giants don't score here, GREAT inning!
