Serious question...

The Giants are not a slow team. We are not a fast team either, but outside of Posey, we have decent baseball speed.

So why do we play such station-to-station ball? I just don't get it, and can't explain it.

I guess they just don't like hit and runs and steals, it's a philosophy

Is Greek not coming in so his streak is protected? This is one of those baseball moves where ego plays too big a role. This is the type of situation where we need Greek to do his thing, even if we know his streak would end.

A pretty fair point but it's only the 5th, and no outs. Might need him later. Then again, that's what Yost thought in game 4

Biggie has always done much better beginning with a clean inning rather than with inherited runners.
And Greek has been nailz out of the stretch.

Just sayin'...

Looks like Biggie is settling down now. If he can get out of this with just the one run, well done, sir!

Biggie limits the damage of THud's crappy inning by only allowing the one run. Much better than I expected, though, like Cal, I was hoping for Greek, even though it was early.

In Sacto, Nik Turley threw 6 no hit innings (2 walks), and 99 pitches and is now out of the game.
