I'm good with Belt trying to go to third. Making the second out at third base on an aggressive play is OK in my book.

He is supposed to go to 3rd on that play. For a few reasons. It makes the cut off man have to decide where to go with the ball delaying his throw or making a bad choice. It protects the runner going home if the ball goes to 3rd. If the runner at home gets out then there is a runner on 3rd.
