But then Herk's injury happened.

Then it happened again.

Then Aoki got hurt.

He is amazing, but 3B is rather deep in the NL right now, and the Giants already have a shit-ton of potential all-stars on the offensive side of the ball (Posey, Craw, Panik, Aoki...)

Even in the weeks Herk played, Pagan in 16/17 games. He had one off day attached to a day off for the team, so he had two rest days in almost three weeks.
