How much longer do you all think the team will be patient with Mac? I get the feeling that could send him down and call up Slater within a week if Mac doesn't start hitting again. He's been awful since coming back from the dl.

My turn to spam post.

I was in San Diego earlier this week and had a conversation in an elevator with a former Pirates' fan. He and his wife were on vacation from Pittsburgh and he mentioned how the Pirates' owner has some business close to where he lives and doesn't how the owner runs things or how he trades away all the good players. I thought I would mention that my team was the benefactor of that decision and how McCutchen had started to heat up. The man and his wife both lit up and said that is what he does and he'll be a good player for the team. There is no joy in Pittsburgh right now.

Ironically, it was the first single the pitcher gave up. Both of the other hits were doubles.
