Picks to click..gotta go with the hot hand against Harvey ..Buster

Gotta also take his little brother local NY kid Joey P. with his 13 game hit streak rocking away.

Sounds like Pence could go to DL as well. All beat writers say Giants will add another bat. Only 2 left on the 40-man are Adam Duvall and Juan Perez.

Perez hasn't done much of anything, and Duvall continues to blast homers.

edit: Hector Sanchez is on 40-man as well.

The Giants only have 37 players on their 40-man, so looking at the 40-man only for potential callups is too narrow.

However, it isnt like the Giants have a tone of OFers banging on the door demanding a slot in SF this weekend. Parker was a no-brainer. He has been hitting well, and needs to be tested to see if he is more than a AAAA player. But who is the "next guy up", assuming it is an OFer?

I think Brett Jackson may be that guy. He is having an OK year in Sacto, and is 26, so it isnt like we have a whole lot to protect with him. I have no idea if he has options or not, so if he is added to the 40, it may create roster crunches down the road. But like I said, he is not a huge prospect, so if they have to cut him loose later, no huge loss.

If they look at the infield, Duvall and Hactor are options, but they both just add to existing defensive depth on the 25-man (1B/C). They could go with EA, but he offers the same issues as Jackson. Ditto Ishikawa.

I think you can eliminate Mac as a possibility. He is a legit prospect, and I doubt the Giants want to mess with his psyche or his clock by calling him up now. I doubt he is ready for that at this point, anyway.

I didn't realize we had 3 spots to play with. But in any case, EA and Jackson are both hurt right now. It'll probably be Perez or Ford, since they can play all OF positions.

You are probably right. Perez has squatters rights, if nothing else.

Just throwing this name out there - Ryan Lollis. I see some good numbers, but I know absolutely nothing about him.

Good call as well.

I think there is a good chance he gets at least a September call up. He is 28 and has been in the system forever (drafted in '09).

Until I saw the ball bounce off the wall I thought it was caught and it appears that Grandy man thought it was caught and looked down and didn't see the ball rolling around.
