i do know, but a bench is only 5 players and you have 9 Batters... there isn't always a direct backup for whoever...

Back up the weakest links. In these open drafts most of your bench probably won't see any action anyhow.

I understand how backups work... Just questioning the restriction to THIS bench.... and pointing out why do you need a backup CI, if you can have an extra backup OF and start one of your starting OFers at a CI position..

For example Carl Yastremzki played well over 300 games at first base... If i wanted to bench Pujols, then why couldn't he start at first and have my backup Ofer take over in the OF...

The point is, i don't understand why there needs to be a direct backup for a particular position...

Point is I felt like adding some other restrictions, do you really think people think about whether or not you can play Yaz at 1st base when they vote? Also, a better time to question restrictions is just prior to the 19th round.

Well I saw the restrictions and set my lineup accordingly so hopefully people do take the bench seriously

Jeter is on my team guaranteed as my SS, maybe another player or 2 not too sure how I was going to set up... but had I known we had 3 players he would have gone before Shanes pick for sure... but I’ll let it go

Sorry fellas, it was just easier to eliminate the rule than it would have been to make three people drop a player off their team. To be honest it was a rule that I didn't want to have anymore after we decided you couldn't take two from the same team in any year, I just forgot to erase it.
