going to spend 2 years at the local JC to save some money. Get my general stuff out of the way, then I want to transfer to a University where I plan to Major in Sports Journalism with a Minor in Sports Information

I commend you on your choice of approach. My son did the same (went to a local JC first, then transferred to a 4-year college). His big thing, though, was that he had no idea what he wanted to do, so spending 2 years getting all of the "general Ed" ("breadth requirements") out of the way while testing all the waters to figure it out was the right thing to do.

I'm 110% positive that his decision had NOTHING to do with the fact that his HS girlfriend was going to the same JC ...

thank you. I remember before HS I saw JC as a joke but as I matured I realized it was a smart route to take. As for sports writing last year I realized it was something I loved doing and want to do for a living
