Why is Slater on the bench? Blanco makes sense, based on his numbers these last 7 days (.263/.364/.474). Jackson, however improving on his overall numbers is slashing .250/.357/.333 this last week. It would be nice to see Slater get the bulk of playing time in left field for a couple of weeks and rotate Blanco, Hernandez and Jackson in center field.
Good point. I expanded his slash to the whole month of May and he is actually hitting .286/.464/.381. That is pretty good.I'd start Slater over Jackson but, IDK Bochy may just see Jackson getting on base a lot in May, seeing a lot of pitches and with Romano's spotty command, going with him

Blanco, however, has been brutal this month - slashing .205/.279/.359 so far in May. Imagine how much worse it was before this past week.
They are on a 7 game winning streak (including a 4 game sweep of the Dodgers) and are playing better on the road than at home, so if the Giants win tonight, that is more than just playing the worst team in baseball.Wont be checking in much but nice start! Reds are a good cure for what ails a team.
When was the last time the Giants had an SDI? Seriously.
He has been on fire this month - his slash for May so far is .359/.458/.462. So good to see.Hit No.1,500 is an RBI double.
It is kinda like a switch with him. Historically, he is bad in April, but pretty much MVP the rest of the way.He has been on fire this month - his slash for May so far is .359/.458/.462. So good to see.
I guess he needs an extra month of spring training . . . against MLB pitching. It is kinda like a switch with him. Historically, he is bad in April, but pretty much MVP the rest of the way.
Day game?Random note - the next Facebook Watch game for the Giants is Wednesday, June 6th against the D-Backs.
