I don't like Harbaugh either, but I'd trade a thousand Marvins for him.

Best coach and possibly best team in the NFL. That said, I despise both with a passion. Bunch of whiners and crybabies. Oh, and there's still those two Super Bowl losses to be bitter over.

He's pretty insufferable but he's one hell of a coach.

There isn't one person in Cincinnati that wouldn't trade Marvin for Harbaugh...either of them...right now.

With a bonafide HC in charge, this team would make a push for a deep run in the playoffs. As it is, they have to overcome the other team and incompetent coaching every week...it's a double whammy.

Not whining, point out the simple fact of the matter. Marvin is a terrible at in-game management.

Whether the Bengals win 4 straight here or not, you can't tell me that you would be 100% confident having Marvin make decisions with 3:00 left in a game either needing a big stop or needing to score, to make sure they:

Have some timeouts left

Correctly challenge a play

Make sure they have the correct personel in the game (ie no 12 man, 10 man issues causing timeouts)

And to call plays that don't go directly against what the objective is at the time: see last posession 1st half of Bears game.

Maybe.

But, I've said for a while now...I think Marvin would make a great GM. He has a great eye for talent, and since he's had more "power" in terms of drafting, this team has built a solid, solid core.

However, He is a terrible in game coach. He should hire someone who's sole job is to:

Count players on the field

Manage time outs

Approve/deny use of challenge flag

Zimmer, Gruden or Jackson for HC although Gruden needs to get this damn offense above 15...already talking about in articles how we need to pass more...Run the damn ball at least 20-25 times per game...

Got damn Eagles had 105 snaps last night...LOL Shady touched the shit 30 times....Come on Gruden! just venting.... lol
