I think they turned down the Broncos who wanted to interview the 49ers QB coach for their OC position as well. Not sure I like blocking a guy from a good promotion opportunity like that though.

I think that's the reason it is a big deal. Our pass rush approach and scheme is really pedestrian and the pass rush is such a big part of the game.

Apparently he was in demand - 5 or so teams wanted to hire him. He's worked with a lot of top end DL men...lots of experience.

I read up a little and apparently he is thought to be one of the top dline coaches. My first thought was Martin Mahew might have been involved in helping to recruit him.

LOL, never did although it was talked about on 49er sites. Tomsula is a good dline coach. He was just in over his head as a head coach.
