Let's do this Bird Gang! 3-0 and a 2 game lead over SF would be pretty sweet.

It's gonna be a dog fight. Really hope Stanton can at least give us a shot to win. That's all I ask of him.

Yup Jonas. This is a statement game for us. We've had our struggles with SF over the years so it would be nice to finally top them. Just wish Palmer was starting... I would've felt a lot more confident.

This team has just been killed by injuries this season. I'm not sure our defense is good as it's shown the last two weeks. The 9ers will tell us how good the run defense is for sure. I'm not really expecting a win with all the injuries, but I'll still cross my fingers!

Last time the niners came to town, Harbaugh drew up a bunch of unconventional plays. Wildcat, reverses, double reverses. He was doing everything possible to confuse the defense. It actually worked in the first half as the niners built up a big lead. This time, I think we will be ready for it. In addition, it's time for Peterson to step up and shut down Crabtree. Show you are worth the 70 mil you were paid. If I had to put money on it, I would give the edge to the niners. To many injuries for the Cards to overcome. Prove me wrong red birds, and let's keep that solo division lead.

Peterson has been subpar the first two weeks. Not even coming close to earning that salary. I agree, this would be a nice game to start.

Arians did say something a little weird: Stanton would start, Palmer would dress as the backup, and they'd deactivate Logan Thomas. Um...huh? If Palmer can't lift his arm or really throw, why dress him at all? And even if he is questionable to make it through a series or two, wouldn't you want Thomas there just in case?

Crapernick is the kind of QB that can really make you miss Danbsy, D-Wash and Dockett. Hope not though.

He was decent last week. Good enough to lead us to a win at least. He is a solid game manager but does have to ability to make a big play every now and then. He's more reliable than most backup QB's, but I still don't feel comfortable at all.

All we need him to do is not turn it over. What's Vernon Davis's status?

Gotcha. Vernon and his backup Vance McDonald are both questionable last I heard. Both look like game-time decisions and I'd say they're 50/50.

I really hope Davis can't go this week though... TE's have torn us up the last few years.. it's a problem we can't seem to fix. So just let him rest up another week!

Antonio Cromartie has outperformed PP if you ask me at this point. PP is way over paid, and has shown very little this season. Cromartie should be put on Crabtree as he just eats up PP everytime we face them.

No clue what is going to happen today. 49ers don't look good at all to me this year. Cards have lots of depletion on defense and Stanton while a good backup is not Palmer.
