I don't think it's an old story, but I wanted to make sure before I gave it its own thread. Do you think now's a good time for that?

I mean, it's just a nice story that speaks to the overall "nice guy" quality of hockey players. Sid's not the only one, and I'm sure we all know it. Never a bad time to post something like that.

that is a pretty cool team stat about the pens meetin everyone from the Eastern Conf. in the playoffs, aside from Atl.

They've used the Thrashers in the wrong situation many times...at least it makes sense this time, seeing as we just played them. ROOT in postseason form already.

He took a stick to the chops that went uncalled, but NHL on the Fly had it right about it being a no-call. The Great Gazoo's face was two feet off the ice when Michalek's stick caught him. The lack of a call there was the correct call.
