I finish my senior project just in time for the start of the playoffs, so I'll be super into it this year. More so than last year and other previous years, even. I also shaved last night, so the playoff beard is ready to sprout.

It's going to be a great series to watch. Strength against strength with Tampa's offense versus Pittsburgh's defense. With that in mind, I tend to look at special teams, but that is also a strength versus strength with the Pens having the top PK and the Bolts having the sixth ranked powerplay in the league.

There is also a ton of gritty players in this series. I hated Downie already, but I'm sure after this one is over I will loathe that SOB. Ryan Malone(sigh) and Hall for the bolts are also tough to play against.

Thankfully, the penguins can counter with Craig Adams, Mike Rupp and Kunitz.

Fleury will probably have to steal a few due to the perceived lack of scoring for the Penguins, but I think he's more than capable of doing that once or twice. :frog:

I think it's going to come down to the pace of the game in this series. If it's fast-paced, the Lightning will win. If it's tight checking, the Penguins will win. I don't think either team can play the other's game, so they'll each be trying to impose their will.

Nice to see the Pens are hated even when Sid and Cooke aren't gonna be playing. Consistency is a wonderful thing
