Only 5 solo shots? How do you expect the Giants to score the other 2 runs?

I have to say, Sanchez is looking much better thus far than he did in spring training.
And what is the deal with LaStella? Is he not playing much because of the knee contusion he suffered the last week of spring or is he just not going to play as much as we all thought he would? If the latter, seems kind of weird to sign a utility guy to a 3 year deal (unless they told him there would be much more playing time in years 2 and 3).

I wonder if Kapler has started thinking "Oh crap, we got a runner on, looks no scoring this inning" or "Okay, now we need to hit into a double play to start a rally" yet.

Well, well, well. Another low scoring Gs/Pads game. Same as it ever was.

In these new 2021 times, I guess Sanch did his job. 5 innings, 1 ER. The key? NO WALKS.

You get another start my lad.

I expected 2 to 3 innings of poorly pitched ball from him but he far exceeded my expectations.

And if there is one thing you can count on, its that Belt will not hit a lick the first few weeks of the season. But, man is he brutal right now!

Looks like the bullpen is pure trash this season to go match with the starting pitching

One turn through the rotation, I'd say the starting 5, overall, have been better than expected. Gausman, DeSclafani and Sanchez all had good starts. Ceuto was better than I expected too. and Webb may be a spring training star only. Its too early to tell but so far, the quality is decent with the starters.
The bullpen, however, outside of McGee, has been a ton of suck. Wisler doesn't look right. I wonder if he's dealing with some injury. Something may be wrong with Garcia too. Alvarez made no sense to begin with and he's not proved otherwise. Moronta looked good tonight. Rogers and Baragar have been meh to okay. Peralta had a good first game, we'll see how tonight goes.
