Sox rotation M.O. (and I think each of the 5 starters except maybe Porcello has done this):

Pitch well for a few innings - and then blow up. As in totally lose command so that instead of just a 2 - 3 run bad inning it becomes a joke. Add to that the relievers have shown a knack for letting runners they inherit score.
Sad part is you never know what inning it's going to happen.
