Not with that matchup.

If Rizzo is under consideration why not give Belt another chance? He never did retire. He has been waiting this whole time. Those are all REALLY bad defensive options. I know JT has signed off on Eldridge’s defense, but I want him to play for a few months in the minors and get more eyeball reports on his D before I am comfortable with that option.
Anthony Rizzo is available. He has had 2 horrible offensive seasons in a row, so he likely won’t bring any offense, but at least he will bring a glove with some veteran leadership and the POTENTIAL for some offense. Or they can explore the trade market. I have no idea who would be available, so I will leave that in the fog of war for now.
Easy money for yaWe shouldn't be.

Goodness....
2 guys are hitting at what are probably unsustainable levels so yeah some others need to get hotAnd we are winning 2 of every 3 games. Just wait until the hitters come around, which they will do, right? Right?!?

NOT “literally” Connor “Gillispie”, though…Worst ERAs among qualified starters:
Dean Kremer 6.84
Connor Gillispie 6.75
Jordan Hicks 6.59
Aaron Nola 6.43
Dylan Cease 6.04
Two thoughts: I really wanted Dylan Cease...yikes.
and, LITERALLY CONNOR GILLISPIE

Still trying to figure out how this team started out so hot. Regression is going to be killer. Not the best news for the Giants. They own four of the top 19 year-over-year bat speed losers:
#2: Lamonte Wade Jr. (-2.5 mph)
#4: Willy Adames (-2.2 mph)
#8: Heliot Ramos (-1.9 mph)
#19: Tyler Fitzgerald (-1.5 mph)
And Matt Chapman is 33rd (-1.2 mph)
We're in the middle of the regression now, by playing .500 ball for a whileStill trying to figure out how this team started out so hot. Regression is going to be killer.
I fully expect Adames to be better than what he is showing now. The slump is getting extended, but he has a strong track record and he seems to have a great attitude that should help him get out of it.We're in the middle of the regression now, by playing .500 ball for a while
Some of the hitters can be reasonably expected to improve (Chapman, Adames) others are less sure (Wade, Ramos, Bailey). The flipside is Yaz and JHL won't end the year with these slash lines
