I get the charm of it, but it's probably best to move the mound off the sidelines. Wrigley Field found a way, so can the Giants.
I have always hated on-the-field bullpens. Dangerous, ugly, in the way...

Yeah, but I don't remember them pulling out a pad and pencil and making notes while doing it.
That’s the part where “I wasn’t paying attention at the time” plays a part...

I don’t know how accurate this is, but I heard that AT&T has on-the-field pens because they forgot all about bullpens when they designed the place, so instead of redesigning everything, they just plopped them in foul territory.

IDK if this is true, but I've heard they literally just forgot to plan for it. Which I find incredulous for a baseball franchise.

It would probably be incredibly expensive, but it'd be sweet if they put the bullpens underground directly where they are now. Then when the pitcher is summoned, they walk up through the ground.

First...

:dhd:

Second...

The Pads moved their pens to the outfield a few years back. AT&T cant put them in right or center, but maybe in/near the garden? I think by rule, they have to be visible from the field, so underground wouldn’t work...

I think that Williamson guy needs to be sent back down. He doesn't seem to have the power to play here. Oh wait . . .

Did you all hear the report on Will Smith?
I was researching the bullpen story when Amy G was talking so I missed it. I heard Kuip say “that’s great news”, so I assume it was good news?
