Does that qualify as a pulled HR for this guy?

Now the question is what to do with Hunter Pence when he comes back.

I was researching the bullpen story when Amy G was talking so I missed it. I heard Kuip say “that’s great news”, so I assume it was good news?
He is supposed to throw back to back on Wednesday and Thursday and then "in traffic" (the Bochy special) on Sunday. If all looks good, he should be activated shortly thereafter.

So if the River Cats throw a perfect game on Sunday, we're fucked

First...

:dhd:

Second...

The Pads moved their pens to the outfield a few years back. AT&T cant put them in right or center, but maybe in/near the garden? I think by rule, they have to be visible from the field, so underground wouldn’t work...

I recall a few years back, before they put in the garden and that area was not being used, that I thought it was be a good area for the bullpens to go there. They could even be tiered like the Phillies.

But every spot I think would be solid for a bullpen they've put some sort of bar or concession. I thought inside the brick wall would be good, but then they put in a bar. Maybe they could put them under the bleachers in LF, and make the walls see-through. But then they'd lose ad space with the cars.

edit: are the Wirgley Bullpens visible from the field? I don't recall

Btw...

According to the Giants, the on-field bull pen was NOT a design error, but an intended design feature. They “say” they used Wrigley as inspiration, making a more intimate experience for fans.

At first take, I call BS but if that were the case, they would have found a better solution by now, 17 years later, so :noidea:

Mac has the 1st, 2nd and 4th hardest hit homers for the Giants this year
I think we need to call this guy Phoenix. He was done. Boch hated him. Fans were pretty much resigned to his being a bust.

Now he is playing like the second coming of teh Lawd GOAT himself.

Did any of you hear Affeldt on Tolbert and Lund this afternoon? I think he unintentionally dropped a pretty huge bomb.

He confirmed that Bochy completely lost the clubhouse last year.

It was understandable because of his health issues, but it still happened. His distraction led to the complete lack of fun on the team last year. Everyone was tight, and no one enjoyed themselves.

He said it is different this year, and a lot of that is because Boch is healthy and able to laugh. The convo was sparked by them discussing Bochy’s smile after Mac’s HR last night.

Interesting.....

I mean losing sucks ass, so that probably didn't help either. Definitely got the "going through the motions" feel.

Apparently he retooled his swing, lowered his hands and added a leg kick

This is an all-time good infield, gentlemen.

Not that gold gloves matter that much, but it's pretty cool to see all the gold around the infield when they do the defense at the beginning of the broadcast.

Speaking off..... Come Belt, get your shit together. The rest of the infield is waiting for you to win one.
