If they score here on a sacrifice, I will admit that the game should be over...
It's not the 2 runs in this game so much as the unsettling fear that Peavy is turning into Timmeh II.2 runs, especially in this park, and with this Giants offense, is hardly an insurmountable deficit.
Completely unfounded fear. It's not the 2 runs in this game as the unsettling fear that Peavy is turning into Timmeh II.

Hey, they tried. Six batters, only one ground ball hit (fair). If they score here on a sacrifice, I will admit that the game should be over...
Maybe I'm spoiled. I'm seeing one cylinder misfiring, and it stands out.Yeah it's a bit early in the season to let the first inning of a second start at Coors decide if a guy will be your 4th/5th starter or not. Usually 40 games (8 starts) is about when you see what you have on your team, pitching and batting.

But I see a smaller guy with a lot of miles on him, losing velocity, injuries in the past, who has started to fade late in prior seasons, and can't go past 6 IPs even on his better days. If it was just one or even two symptoms, I'd be less concerned. But all of these at once, and the odds are this won't end well, and do so sooner rather than later.
OK, I step away from my desk for a minute and miss the entire Giants half of the inning.
I am sooo excited!! I am getting 2010 flashbacks here...
He may very well flop this year. I would actually put in the "likely" column. But his expectation were never to the level of Timmeh, and we have multiple arms waiting in the wings just for this scenario.Maybe I'm spoiled. I'm seeing one cylinder misfiring, and it stands out.

We are pace to be the first team in history to throw a shutout and still lose the game. The good news is that we have won every game this season when the other team scores first. So we have them right where we want them, right?
Sir BamBam must be pissed.4 pitch leadoff walk is a nice touch
