Just turned on the game and saw the replay if that hit. RF at the Cove is tough. Yes, he misplayed it, but I am not concerned it is a sign of any kind of bigger issue…. Yet.

agreed. by all accounts hes a good defensive OF. and RF is tough. I'd think he'll end up in LF.

Don't think he will pitch the 9th, but who knows? He's been dominant, but is also at 96 pitches through 8, early in the season (Wilbur Wood snorts in disgust at pitch counts).

Great game. Webb was dominate. Williams should be the third baseman and Doval provides the torture. Everything we love in a Giants game.

Doval is very young, and apparently a bit of a head case (one in the same?). He may not be ready to hand the job to without a safety net, but we have Rogers, McGee, Castro, Leone, etc all as safety nets, so he will be fine (with more than a couple stumbles, for sure).
