We seem pretty set but 3rd line wing. Gags looked like an option, but he got about $1 mill more per sason than we would have paid for a 3rd line wing. Affordable optins may include older vets Stillman (37 yrs old, 65 GP 12-27-39 $3.5), Langenbrunner (35 yrs old, 70 GP 9-23-32 $2.8) and Prospal (36 yrs old, 29GP 9-14-23 $2.5).

Another name I just saw and know nothing about is Antti Miettinen. 31 yrs old 16-19-35 and last cap hit was $2.3. Anyone know about him?

Didn't even notice your error that's how hung over I am right now! Gags would have been the best but ce la vie.....heard arnott being bantered about which would be cool just as long as he'd play wing. If they go this route instead of waiting until the deadline I'd like a gritty vet who can stand in front of the net on the PP. Arnott or Langenbrunner fit that mold just as long as they have something left.

Don't know much about miettinen but probably scores more than either Nodl or Talbot would on the 3rd line.

As I look, it appears that our need is for a 3rd line left wing. Right now I have Nodl, a right wing penciled in for that spot with Simmonds and Schenn. Nodl may be good as he has become defensively responsible. I would, however, like someone with a little more scoring ability.

agreed..i think all this team really needs is another winger. besides that, i think this is more or less our team on opening night. then if there is a need they can tweak at the trade deadling. i personally think the only thing they might want to add around the trade deadline is veteran forward rental player
