We had peasant tv at the time (no lie, I think we had 4 channels to choose from) and I think Michael Landon was still 'Little Joe' on Bonanza back in '72

I love the look on kids faces these days when I tell them what TV was like back in the day. No remote, you had to go to the tv and change the channel or adjust the volume by hand. Of course that was after you were done adjusting the rabbit ears to get the clearest picture possible. On VHF we had channels 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, and on UHF channels 27, 38, 44,56 with channels 2 and 44 being PBS. Come on and zoom zoom zooma zoom, we're gonna zooma zooma zooma zoom.

Wow - you had a lot of channels. We had NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS (on UHF) and one other UHF before cable came around.

I remember when we got our first cable box (Hard wired "clicker", 14 more channels). I loved it because I had it worked out so I could watch M*A*S*H from the time I got home from school til it was time for dinner.

And then I discovered the "Scrambled" channel that came on after 10 PM...
