foxx/ruth/hornsby and al simmons didnt
Interesting. All listed played in the days of the 154 game season. With an extra 8 games X 20 years, I betcha they would.

its not that simple foxx only really played 11 years he was 17 when he started and wasnt full time till he was 21 and last 3 years didnt play very muchexcept it is very rare for players to have played 162 games even in a 162 game season... And most players with 15+ seasons have seasons where they did not even reach 100 games... so in reality you can really average only 4 more games per season... if we round that up to a 100 games and 400 PA... lets take 50 of those PA out for walks and sacrifices... so that is 350 AB...
350 that is only 105 more hits...
would not have gotten Ruth or Foxx over... Would have gotten Hornsby over...

I just want to go to the HOF never beenWhy are y’all subbing someone else’s Judgment for your own??
Do you care more about the baseball writers’ opinion of you than the ACTUAL career you, yourself, would be having??
Sorry ass society.
I just want to go to the HOF never been
Why are you hung up on ‘20 years of full time yearly play’?No, which I thought I'd included ... if you averaged .300 for 20 years you would have
3,500 hits
(which is more than 3,000)
Get it?
